WEATHER. CONDITIONS. Light rain has fallen today In Northern "Washington, Southwestern Oregon and South western Idaho. Elsewhere In the North Pacific States fair weather has prevailed. Changes during the last 24 hours have been small and unimportant. The Indications are for cloudy and occasional threatening weather in this dis trict Thursday, with possibly occasional show ers in Western Oregon. THE RIVER. The Willamette River at Portland has been falling since early this morning. The gauge reading at 5 P. M. was 14.2 feet, a fall of 0.7 of a foot slnco 8 A. M. The fall will continue for the next several days. WEATHER FORECASTS. Forecasts made at Portland for tho 28 hours ending at midnight Thursday. February 21: Portland and vicinity Cloudy and threaten ing, with possibly occasional rain; variable winds.
