The people of Oregon have, a right to know just how it happened that the Northern Pacific Railroad was allowed to trade off its worthless mountain tops in the State of Washington for -valuable timber lands in Oresron a transaction by which, this railroad corporation was en abled, to clear up hundreds of thousands of dollars, or will be, if the matter is al lowed to remain undisturbed. The details of the steal should be uncovered, and res titution made yet. If possible. Where there Is a will to do justice and punish j villainy, a. way can usually be found.
