Moore, a pioneer miner of the "West, "was found dead on the Foster road, near Sycamore.. Tuesday evening, by H. Kesterman. The Coroner was notified and the remains were brought to the East Side Morgue, where an inquest was held. Moore had been In. charge of a small piece of land, owned by Mrs. Fi?h or, of Portland, and about three we k3 ago he became very III, and was taken to the Good Samaritan Hogpjtal ior treat ment. As ho was much improved he con cluded to return home, and started Tues day on the Mount Scott motor car as far as that line extends. Being old and very feeble, he soon became weary after leav ing the car in the afternoon and walked with difficulty. He was seen by an ac quaintance moving along slowly, but he was cheerful and bid fair to reach home. He had a valise and a package with him. He was discovered by Kesterrnan on the klde of the road, and on coming up dq-er he was seen to be dead. Ths Inquest showed that he ditd from heart trouble and exhaustion. It was brought out that he had acut stomach trouble. Moore was about 64 years of age and a pioneer of 1K9. About that year he came to the mines of California and thence on to Oregon, where he went to the mines. He also spent considerable time in tic m'nes of Idaho. To Busby, a joung man lix-ing at Gresham, he told many of his experiences. At one time he had acquired much money, but lost "it all. Th re ara few places on the Coast wherj he had not visited.
