The storm area which caused such heavy rainfall Monday night by its presence over N-rShwest Washington hau moved rapidly east ward, and is now over North Dakota. Rain has fallen in the past 12 hours west of the Cas cades in "Washington, and both sides of them in Oregon. A trace has fallen at Walla Walla, and also at Boise, where snow has begun. A high-pressure area has come rapidly from the ocean today, and will probably be located over Washington on Wednesday, giving fair weather to the Pacific Northwest for a day or two, with decreasing temperature in Oregon and Wash ington, and colder in Southern Idaho.
