Monday evening a feed wire from the power station of Ihe East Side Hailroad Company dropped across a telegraph wire at East Grant and Grand avenue. It re mained a few minutes, during which there was a lurid display of lightning, and the telegraph wire was burned through, per mitting the feed wire to drop down across the Inclined roadway leading from Grand avenue on East Grant to East Sixth streets. Fortunately a neighbor saw the wire drop into the street He went out and for an hour warnel all teams from passing up the incline over the wire, and finally got word to the mill.
