Canal Basin, Seventh Street, Pittsburgh, Pa. 1 he healtnuil balm rrom Nature's secret spring. The bloom of health and life to man will bring ; As from her depths the magic liquid flows. To calm our snuerings and as-sange our woes. The Petroleum has been fully tested. It was nlared before the public as a remedy of wonderful efficacy. r.very one not anqunintea witn its vinnes, doubted Its healing properties. The cry of humbug was raised against it. It had some friends those that were cured through it wonderful agency. These spoke out in its ravor. ine lame, tnrougu its instrumentality, were made to walk the blind, to see. Those who had suffer ed for years under the torturing pains of Rheumatism, injfit, vcuiaijtiR, were restores 10 neaiiu ana useiuinefw. Several who were blind have been made to see. the evi dence of which will be placed before yon. It you still hnvc doubts, go and ask those who have been cured! Some of them live in our midst, and ran answer for themselves. In writing about a medicine, we arc aware that we should write TV-vi that we should make no statements that cannot be proved. We have the wit nesses: crowds of them . who will testify in term strong er than we ran write them, to the elttVary of this reme dy; who will testily that the Petroleum ' has done for them what no medicine ever could before: cases that were pronounced hoelcss, and beyond the reach of re mediate means : ca-ses alnndoned by physicians of un questioned celebritv. have been made to exclaim, this is tne raosi wonaenui remeny ever aiscovered r e will lay before you the certificates of some of the most remarkable rases ; to give them all. would require more space than would be allowed by this circular. Since the Introduction of the Petroleum, many physicians have been convinced of its cfHracy , and now recommend it lu their practice ; and we nave no doubt that tt will stand at the head of the list of valuable remedies. If the physicians do not recommend it, the people will bare ft of themselves : for its transeenuoiit power to heal trill and must become known and appreciated : when the voices of the cured speak out ; when the cures themselves stand nut in bold relief, and when he who for yearn has Huffbred with the torture and panes of an immedicable lesion, that has been shortening; his davs. and hastening him " to the narrow boose appointed for all the living." when he speaks out in its praise, who will doubt It? The Petroleum Is a Natural Remedy : it is put np as It flows from the bosom of the earth, with' out any thine being added to or taken from it. It get its ingredients from the beds of sulxdances which passes over in its secret channel. They are blended together in such a form as to defy all human competition. The Petroleum in this respect is like Min eral Waters, whose virtues in most chronic diseases are acknowledged, not onlv bv nhvsicians. hut hr the com munity at large. These singular fluids Bowing out of the earth, impregnated with medicinal Biibstanres of different properties, and holding them in such complete solution as to require the aid of Chemistry in order to detect them, bears ample proof to the fact that tliev are compounded by the master hand of Nature, for the alle viation of human suflcriug and disease. If Petroleum is medicine at all, it is a good one, for Nature never half does her work ; and that tt is a medicine or uneqiialed power, we have the most abundant testitnunv. it will be used when many of the new remedies now in vogue will have been forgotten forever. It will continue to be used and applied as a remedy as long as man continues to be afflicted with disease. That it will cure every dis ease to which we are liable, we do not pretend ; but that it will cure a great many diseases nitlicrto incura ble, is a fact which is proven by the evidence in its fa vor. Its discovery is a new era in medicine, and will inure to the health and happiness of man. ScRorrt-A. The Petroleum ts a great medicine in Scrofula and King's Evil, in all those diseases having their origin in a depraved condition of the blood anil other fluids of the body. It will cure tyiins and enlarge ments in the bones and joints, blotches, biles. Erysipe las, pimples on the face, tetter, scald-head ring-worm, and the various skin diseases. It has cured numerous eases of Rheumatism. Neuralgia. Gout. Ac. Several eases of Rheumatism of years standing-, have been entirely- cured. A woman In Franklin Co., Pa., was cured of rheumatic affection of seven Tears" standinir the disease was so aggravated as to confine her to bed during the greater part of that time. She is now well and consider herself entirely restored. Misceli.aseovs Directions. No better remedy can be found anywhere for .burns and scalds, the pain of which it immediately relieves, and restores the parts and disposes mem to neai. The latter having been afflicted by a severe attack of "Cholera Infantum," was given up as incurable by some of the most celebrated physicians, when she called on Dr. Czapkay. of whom she heard very favorable report, and who, after a short period, restored the child to perfect health.
