is not strange that the friends of Douglas,

them believe that he is not I'ro Slavery,
but certainly nothing can be gained for any
body by so gross misrepresentation as
seems to be insisted on, by the conceal
ment of tho resolution. If the Douglus
Democracy is in fuvor of enforcing re.

brunch of the General Government, as the
resolution imports, it ought to be known,
therefore wo publish it again. Douglas
himself, in his letter of acceptance, refers to
