Master Gardeners come to Parkdale, Cascade Locks Did you know that not all insects in your garden are bad insects? Gardens contain both harmful and beneficial in- sects that can be managed using various techniques. Come learn how to identify insects, manage harmful insects and ways to incorporate more beneficial in- sects in your garden by OSU Extension Master Gardeners at the Parkdale begin- ning at 1 p.m. on July 11. In Cascade Locks, OSU Extension Mas- ter Gardener Ryan Fenwick will talk about planning and tools to consider be- fore putting in a garden beginning at 2 p.m., also on July 11. Fenwick is a lifelong Oregonian, fairly new to the Gorge and the Master gardening program. He has gardened in Portland, the North coast of Oregon and most recently in Cascade Locks. His interests are vegetable gar- dening and perennial eatables. July 11 — Cub Scout Pack 378 fishing event, 11 a.m. at Laurence Lake. Boys must be accompanied by a parent; bring pole and bait.
