Larry was born March 3, 1957, in La Jolla, Calif., to Larry Monroe and D a r l e n e J e s s i e ( S m i t h ) Scroggins. A memori- al service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June Larry 12, at The Scroggins Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1825 May St., Hood River. Larry grew up in Port- land, graduated from Wil- son High School and attend- ed Mount Hood Community College. He was a carpenter by trade, working through- out the Gorge until a work injury forced his early re- tirement in 2005. Larry en- joyed golf, bowling and watching sports. Larry is survived and will be dearly missed by his son, Lauren Lewis; mother, Darlene Scroggins; broth- ers, Jesse Marion Scroggins and his wife, Tina Arlene, William Martin Scroggins and his wife, Kerry Eliza- beth, and Lloyd Michael Scroggins and his wife, Carla Estefini; nieces Kelsie A n n a n d Ta i t u m J a n e ; n e p h e w s C a d e Je s s e, Wi l l i a m T u c ke r, L i a m Michael and Miguel Martin; aunts and uncles; and a host of friends that he has col- lected over the years. The ex- boyfriend had been warned prior to not contact via phone. ■ Controlled substance violations (non-DUII): June 1 — Cascade Avenue, 3400 block — Lynnwood, Wash., resident arrested on the charge of unlawful posses- sion of methamphetamine and lodged at NORCOR. The resident also received cita- tions for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and open alcoholic beverage container. ■ Disorderly conduct, mischief, criminal trespass and vandalism: June 7 — Seventh Street and Cascade Avenue — Stop sign reported to have been knocked over. June 7 — 12th Street, 1600 block — Male cited and re- leased for disorderly conduct after he was observed defecat- ing and getting nude from the waist down in the view of many. ■ Driving under the in- fluence of intoxicants: June 3 — Hood River — Ve- hicle stopped for minor traffic violation. After the officer ob- served several signs of im- pairment, the driver refused to consent to field sobriety tests. The driver was arrested and later refused a breath test. A warrant was issued for a blood test. He was lodged at NORCOR. ■ Identity theft or bank/credit card fraud: June 2 — Cascade Avenue, 2900 block — Identity theft re- ported. ■ Motor vehicle crashes, offenses and impounds: June 3 — I-84 near exit 63 — Motor vehicle accident inves- tigated. June 5 — 13th and Belmont — Officer responded to a motor vehicle crash.
