Big Savings Otis This week volunteers at Adopt A Dog have selected Otis as the program’s adopt- able pet of the week: Otis is about 4 years old, and what a nice, little guy he is! He was very timid at first, but has quickly turned into a shadow-type dog and loves to be on laps and get attention! He likes leashed walks and gets all happy when it’s time, and he is great with other dogs, just not super playful right now. More, he likes to follow them around and sniff the latest happenings. Otis is quite the talker, is an excel- lent co-pilot in the car — but needs to be taught to stay in the seat, and not jump out the window when parked! But a harness or safety belt would fix that small detail! Otis is what you’d call a low-key dog and all he wants is a lap and a pet. He was sur- rendered by his owner, who had him for a month but was- n’t able to take the time to housetrain him, due to fami- ly health issues. Anyhow, Otis seems to be getting the hang of how nice it is to have a clean kennel, because he hasn’t had a single accident once he learned our routine. What a good boy! Otis is probably a ShihTzu or Lhasa Apso, and he weighs in at 15 pounds. Otis is current on shots, mi- crochipped and neutered. The adoption fee for sweetie- pie Otis is $195. The fee to adopt is charged to recoup standard veterinary expens- es.
