Weather Machine, more at CEBU
This week at CEBU Lounge:
Friday, April 24, The Weather Machine, 9:30 p.m. High
Energy NW Folk Rock. “Critics have compared The
Weather Machine to The Kinks and Paul McCartney. The
truth? This band is hard to categorize, which is a big
part of the appeal. Their high-energy live show has
struck a chord with Northwestern audiences, resulting
in sold out performances at Mississippi Studios and the
Sisters Folk Festival, a featured performance at Bend’s
Les Schwab Amphitheater. They’re touring in support of
their sophomore full-length album ‘Peach.’”
Saturday, April 25, Amber & The Pale Ales 9:30 p.m.

PREPPING FOR FASHION
The April 16 HRVHS Fashion Club spring show was a creative and
financial success, reports club advisor Cathy Carter. Twelve club
members displayed fashions they created, and helped about 20
youngsters who participated in fashion camps this month and in
the fall. Alondra Gaeta applies makeup while Elexis McAllister, cen-
ter, and Casey Holzman work on Leah Ralph’s hair. At right, Gaeta
steps out in a white gown during rehearsal. About 80 people at-
tended the event, which raised $1,370 for the fund to assist the
family of Lila May Schow, 4, who has cancer. The “fringe fashion-
istas” from 2014 showed their styles, and the 2015 crew walked
out in their new Tyvek tops and tutus – the tutus in honor of Lila
May. The May 9 Tutu Trot at Mark Hatfield Trailhead is the next ben-
efit for the Schow family.
