B10 Hood River News, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 M ORROW Continued from Page B1 climbed up in her bunk and pointed at the biggest picture asking why she had hung it up. The little girl turned to her and said, “I hung it there, so that tonight when I miss my parents, I can just look up and remember that they are always there no matter what.” At that point, I almost burst into tears because it was one of the sweetest things I had ever heard. I believe that being a camp counselor or an adult mentor gives you the opportunity to see things through different eyes and get to know some amazing children. There’s F OLLIES Continued from Page B1 and other farm animals. Two of her sisters, Gertrude (Emily Hogg) and Kathy (Amy White) help to get Rosie gussied up and ready for suitors. Shane McCarthy plays Billy Barnes, a purvey- or of goods and services, and sings the song “Deeper than the Holler.” The second half of the show continues with Ma and the kids visiting their uncle, Judiah “Jude” Kettle, played by Andy Streich. Jude has a laid back lifestyle with his buddy, Bancroft (Dave Tall- man). Megan Perkins plays something magical about 4-H Camp Morrow and I think that it is the perfect place to get your first experience as a camp counselor or as a camper. Camper registration will be available by April 15, 2015 and adult mentors can sign up at any time.
