Patricia was born on July 20, 1939, in Langdon, Kansas, to Robert Allen and Maxine Jeanette ( B r o w n ) Williams. She moved with her family from Kansas to the Hood River Valley. Patti attended Odell Grade School and graduated from Wy’east High School, the class of 1957. She loved Patricia Kahoe spending time with her family, traveling, camping, sewing, crocheting and entertaining, and her long walks with friends and her sister Sharon and brother- in-law, Bud. Patti was an ac- tive mother and wife but she also worked for Diamond Fruit seasonally. She was a member of the Odell Methodist Church and en- joyed her volunteer time with FISH Food Bank and in her younger years she coached softball. Patti is survived by her hus- band, Hershel, of Hood River, Ore.; two daughters, Terri (and her husband, Bob) Stew- art, of Portland, Ore., and Traci (and her husband, David) Lucas, of Hood River; son, Mark (and partner, Tammy) Kahoe, of Hood River; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sis- ters, Frankie (and husband, Harold) Captain and Sharon (and husband, Bud) Elmer; and a host of other distant family and many, many friends that she has collected over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Ron; daughter Toni Clarke; sister Bonnie Park; and two broth- ers-in-law, Don Park and Bobby Dillingham. Services to honor Patti’s life and mourn her passing are planned for 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at Anderson’s Tribute Center (Funerals • Receptions • Cremations), 1401 Belmont Ave., Hood River, OR 97031; 541-386-1000. Dale Moore Beverly Mildred Blumen- thal, 90, passed away Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, of age-related causes at Far mington Square Assisted Living in Beaverton, Ore. Bev was a native of Hood River County, having been born to Clyde and Mildred (Andrus) Cox on Dec. 6, 1924, at the Hood River Hospital. She had an older sister, Audrey, and a younger brother, Don. Bev grew up in the Mount Hood and Parkdale areas and was valedictorian of the Parkdale High School class of 1943. She attended Willamette University for one year and was a member of Delta Tau Gamma sorori- Dale E. Moore, 84, of Hele- na, Mont., for merly of Hood River, Ore., passed away Feb. 12, 2015, in Hele- na. Dale was born Oct. 18, 1930, to Dale Moore Everett Ray and Jenny Blanche (Church) Moore in Lead, S.D. He made Hood River, Ore., his home- town and worked in the fruit industry as a fruit process- ing specialist. He married Agnes Moore and she preced- ed him in death in 2007. Beverly Blumenthal ty. Bev is survived by son Stanley (Charlotte) Blumen- thal, of Beaverton, Ore.; her sister-in-law Shirlene Cox o f O p e l i k a , A l a . , t h re e g r a n d ch i l d re n : Re b e c c a (Tom) Duda, of Beaverton, Ore., Jeremy (Kipplyn) Blu- menthal, of Byron Hills, Ill., and Joshua (Maranda) Blumenthal, of Glenpool, Okla.; and six great-grand- children: Aaron, Abbie, Nicole and Jillian Duda and Bryn and Declan Blumen- thal. Preceding Bev in death were her husband, Len; in- fant son Robert, in 1955, and son Danny, a park ranger for the State of Oregon who was killed in the line of duty on April 27, 1999. Sis- ter Audrey predeceased her in December 2006 and brother Don in January On April 14, 1945, Bev married Leonard Blumen- thal. They were married 58 years until his passing in 2003. After working in the Portland Shipyards during World War II, Bev was a cook at Mt. Hood Meadows and spent 35 years packing fruit for Duckwall-Pooley. She retired in 1987. From 1971 until 2003 Bev and Len spent many happy days at the Chinook Sportsman Association in Chinook, Wash. They were charter members of a p r iv a t e fishing camp at Baker Bay on the mouth Beverly Blumenthal o f t h e C o - l u m b i a River. While Len would fish Bev could be found reading a book and cooking some- thing delicious for the Sat- urday night potlucks. She was especially known for her apple pies and salmon dip. After retirement Bev’s life seemed to get busier. Her other hobbies and in- terests included bowling, the Upper Valley Lions Club, Parkdale Grange and volunteering at the Hutson Museum. She was a mem- ber of the Parkdale Com- munity Church. She was very creative and made table decorations for the Jane Eleanore Gary, 94, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at Hawks Ridge As- sisted Living Community in Hood River, Ore. Catherine Cristy Smith- 2012. Bev lived in Parkdale until she moved to Beaver- ton in 2010. She had broken an ankle and needed assis- tance with her daily living activities. In October 2013 Bev suffered a stroke and h e r c a re n e e d s b e c a m e greater. Her family would like to thank the staff at Farmington Square for the love and care they provided to Bev during the final 15 months of her life. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. at the Parkdale Community Church with Pastor Mark Willems and Rev. Don Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow at the U p p e r Va l l e y P a rk d a l e Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be given in Bev’s memo- ry to the Parkdale Commu- nity Church.
