Kolberg at The Pines This week at The Pines: Friday, Feb. 6, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Ryan Kolberg & Anderson Gould. Ryan Kolberg, well-known bassist, branches out with guitar and vocals. This duo likes to keep you guessing with an eclectic mix of folk, rock, Latin, blues, swing, reggae and anything else they can think to throw in. Country Dance, potluck Feb. 14 The Second Saturday Country Dance returns on Feb. 14, from 7-10 p.m., at the Rockford Grange on Barrett Road in Hood River. The dance caller will be Sue Baker and the band will be the Mill Creek String Band. The potluck dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. with dancing from 7-9 p.m. All ages welcome and no partner is re- quired. All dance steps are walked through the first time. Enjoy an evening of Country Squares, Contras, Circle dances and a few Waltzes. Father- Daughter dance returns Feb. 21 Young ladies and older ladies and their fathers, step- fathers, grandfathers and male mentors are invited to an evening designed to cele- brate the importance of these special relationships. The Third Annual Columbia Gorg e Young Life Fa- ther/Daughter dance will take place on Saturday Feb. 21, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hood River Elks Club at 3rd St. and Cascade Avenue. The evening will offer DJ- hosted music, desserts and a photo booth. The cost of the event is $30 per couple and each additional daughter $10. Young Life is primarily about building relationships with young people through groups and one-on-one rela- tionships. All profits from the Fa- ther/Daughter dance will go to sending local kids go to Young Life summer camp at the Washington Family Ranch in Antelope, Oregon.
