Hunt submitted to an op eration at the hospital Friday and Is reported to be doing nicely. Mrs. C. W. Nottingham returned to Portland Monday after spending a month with her daughter, Mrs. .1. R. Forden. Mrs. Guy Smith, who nas been un dergoing treatment at the hospltul, was able to return to ber home at Odell Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Moller were la Portland the last of the week to at tend a wedding reception given for Mrs. M oiler's brother and bis bride. After spending a short vacation with his parents here, S. E. Buck leaves today to enter the Behoke Walker Business College at Portland. Gibson, who was across the river at Underwood Monday, re ports that two Indians who were Ashing In the stream that clay dis covered the body of a man who had been dead several weeks. The re mains were beyond Identification. W. S. Mount and son George of Canterbury, England, spent a couple of days here the last of the week. Mr. Mount has about 200 acres of apple orchard In England and wns much Interested In studying the meth ods used here. In England many of the same scientific methods are em ployed, Including Bordeaux and ar senate sprays, clean cultivation and pruning. E' L. McClaln, Jr.. Is entertaining his parents and his .letcr at his "Snow View" ranch on the East Side. Mr. and Mrs. McClaln have vtslted In the valley lefore.
