River last Sunday attending the

the Ladies' Aid last Thursday.
A "Musical Drawing" contest
was a feature of the program,
and consisted of each lady being
given a familiar song and re
quested to illustrate it so that it
could be guessed by the rest.
The artistic ability displayed
afforded much amusement.

day evening the crowd of young
people who have just returned
from camping at "Dippy's Sum
mer Retreat." The evening was
spent in popping corn and toast
ing marshmallows. Later a
dainty luncheon was served
camp style.
G. H. Robbins, who has been
in Oregon City looking after his
nursery, returned home Satur
day. Miss Beatrice Boyce returned
Saturday from a visit in Portland.

of an ice cream social given by
the Young People's Bible class
in the M. E. church last Wednes

improvements by moving, re
modeling and adding to his barn.
Mrs. L. W. Bishop gave a re
ception to her many friends last
Wednesday in honor of Mr.
Bishop's mother and niece, who
are spending the summer months
at the Bishop home. A very
