Informally was the scope of the pro

the solution of the subcommittee and
will not be acted upon finally until
this committee submits Its report to

AmouKthe other questions to be
considered by the subcommittee Is
whether the exhibition that is
planned shall be confined exclusively
to apples or whether It shall em

best to hold the show also remains
to be determined. Some members
of the committee would hold the ex

WYOMING ELK IN
OREGON PRESERVE
Through the efforts of State Game
Warden William L. Flnley, on his
recent visit at Washington, D. C,
the government has been persuaded
to donate fifteen elk to the state of
Oregon. These animals will be takeu
from the forest reserves In Wyoming,
crated and transported to Oregon
as soon as the people of this state
provide an adequate pasture for
them. They will become the sole
property of Oregon and serve to per
petuate a race of noble animals that
Is rapidly becoming extinct.
In the northwestern part of the
state there Is a 2500-acre pasture that
has leeu set aside by the national
government for testing the utility of
a coyote-proof fence. It Is said to
have proven effective for that pur
pose, and the forestry service, ac
cording to Warden Floley, Is wllllDg
to give this big park to the state as
an elk reserve. The matter of loca
tion, however, has not been settled,
as this Is a question that will be left
largely to the state at large, as It Is
distinctly a matter of public Interest.
Catarrh Canuot Be Cured
with local applications, as they can
not reach the seat of the disease.
Catarrh Is a blood or constitutional
disease, and In order to cure It you
must take Internal remedies. Hall's
Catarrh Cure Is taken Internally, and
acts directly on the blood and mu
cous surfaces. Hall's Catarrh Cure
Is not a quack medicine. It was pre
scribed by one of the best physicians
In this country for years, and is a
regular prescription. It Is composed
of the best tonics known, combined
with the best blood purifiers, acting
directly on the mucous surfaces. The
perfect combination of the two In
gredients Is what produces such
wonderful results In curing catarrh.
