Postmaster W. M. YHtes departed
Thursday for his cottage by the sea,
at Cannon Beach, where his family
has lieen for several weeks. Tilt

until Monday, when he went to As

manner of handling a postal savings

having been so designated. Mr.

and family returned Thursday even
ing from an extended visit with their
folks In northern California. Mr.
Thomson says they visited numerous

sections of that state were very de

of the valley districts, were almost

Mr. Lawson Is accompanied by his
youngest daughter, Miss Jean Law
son, and sou Henry McCall, and they
will make a trip to the foot of Mount
Hood In the Upper Valley before
leaving.
