education for nurses
Clatsop Community Col-
lege graduated 18 nursing stu-
dents this year, and all but one
have accepted positions at local
facilities, including seven at
Columbia Memorial Hospital
in Astoria.
The hospital has been a con-
sistent supporter of the col-

for several years has invested
in the nursing faculty with a
fi nancial donation through the
college foundation, which sup-
ports the salary of one full-time
nursing instructor.
The gift from Colum-
bia Memorial for the 2021-
22 nursing program academic
year was $80,000.
Beyond fi nancial gifts, the
hospital and its foundation also
provide a wide range of sup-
port, including clinical oppor-
tunities for students within the
hospital and clinics, and par-
ticipation on college advisory
committees.

Square survey
To help shape the develop-

Citizens for Astoria Oregon for
90 days to get as much commu-
