The hospital has been a con- sistent supporter of the col- lege’s nursing program, and for several years has invested in the nursing faculty with a fi nancial donation through the college foundation, which sup- ports the salary of one full-time nursing instructor. The gift from Colum- bia Memorial for the 2021- 22 nursing program academic year was $80,000. Beyond fi nancial gifts, the hospital and its foundation also provide a wide range of sup- port, including clinical oppor- tunities for students within the hospital and clinics, and par- ticipation on college advisory committees. Community input invited for Heritage Square survey To help shape the develop- ment of Heritage Square, a sur- vey is being hosted online by Citizens for Astoria Oregon for 90 days to get as much commu- nity input as possible.
