Come on in, the water’s fine!
So is the Astoria Aquatic Center. The
pool, run by the Astoria Parks and Recre-
ation Department, reopened in March. As
long as Clatsop County doesn’t go above
the high risk category for the coronavi-
rus as designated by the state, the aquatic
center will remain open with health,
safety and social distancing guidelines in
place.
The pool is using a reservation-only
system for swimmers and individuals
using the indoor recreation equipment for
45-minute increments.
The center’s hours of operation are
Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7 a.m. to
10 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.;
and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
S tandard drop-in rates are $18 per fam-
ily of up to five, $7.50 per adult and $5.50
for senior citizens and youth.
Monthly passes are not available. Spe-
cial use groups and Astoria Parks, Recre-
ation and Community Foundation schol-
arship recipients can continue their access
of the facility. Patrons wishing to utilize
these programs must call the facility to
reserve use times.
The total capacity of the facility for
patrons present at one time will be capped
to meet the capacity of the available space
and ability of the staff to safely monitor
activities, with no more than 36 patrons
allowed to reserve spaces during a given
use period.
For more information or to reserve a
time, call 503-325-7027.
