The pool, run by the Astoria Parks and Recre- ation Department, reopened in March. As long as Clatsop County doesn’t go above the high risk category for the coronavi- rus as designated by the state, the aquatic center will remain open with health, safety and social distancing guidelines in place. The pool is using a reservation-only system for swimmers and individuals using the indoor recreation equipment for 45-minute increments. The center’s hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.; and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. S tandard drop-in rates are $18 per fam- ily of up to five, $7.50 per adult and $5.50 for senior citizens and youth. Monthly passes are not available. Spe- cial use groups and Astoria Parks, Recre- ation and Community Foundation schol- arship recipients can continue their access of the facility. Patrons wishing to utilize these programs must call the facility to reserve use times. The total capacity of the facility for patrons present at one time will be capped to meet the capacity of the available space and ability of the staff to safely monitor activities, with no more than 36 patrons allowed to reserve spaces during a given use period.
