LightBox Photographic Gallery opens two shows ASTORIA — LightBox Photographic Gallery will host a reception for two new shows from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday in the gallery, 1045 Marine Drive. The shows include “The Portfolios” and “The LightBox Files.” The portfolio show features images by nine photographers who were selected “for the excellence of their submitted pho- tos.” Four images from each photographer will be on display. Featured photographers include Laurie Feitag, Karen Hymer, Rich Bergeman, Pat Rose, Brian Edwards, Jan Becket, Walt O’Brien, Matthew Ragen and Ryan Synovec. The second show, “The LightBox Files,” is a reopening of an exhibit originally scheduled for April. The exhibit honors “the complete photographer, those that pur- sue the art of fi ne printing.” Eight photog- raphers are featured in the exhibit. Featured photographers include Jim Fitzgerald, Ann Kendellen, John DuBois, Ken Hochfeld, Dave Schaerer, Roger Dorband, Laura Kur- tenbach and Mike Demkowicz. Both exhibits will be available for view- ing at the gallery until Sept. 8. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
