DECEMBER 31, 2019 GRITTY to PRETTY: ASTORIA’S TRANSFORMATIVE DECADE 2010-2019 • C3 CITY LIFE Dozens of new restaurants and businesses have come to Astoria in the last decade, including Street 14 Cafe, La Cabana de Raya, Pat’s Pantry, Tora Sushi, Frite and Scoop, Mo’s, Schwietert’s Cones & Candy, Ex Libris Anonymous, Busu, Carruthers, Candy Skein Yarn & Crafts, Forsythea, Chariot, Doe and Arrow, Lodestar Goods, Table 360, Good to Go, Curry and CoCo, Gulley’s Butcher Shop, art galleries and more. There are more breweries, with most of them opening in the last decade, including Buoy Beer, Reach Break and Reveille Ciderworks. Food trucks and marijuana dispensaries are also new in town.
