the new wall. Also showing a series of
water-based Europe and Northwest
paintings that I haven’t shown yet. The
larger “Strata” paintings will remain.

A new art studio space, the collective
houses 19 art studios on three floors,
with a common space on the second
floor that serves as a gallery for art
walks. The artist mediums range from
ceramics, painting, sculptures and
jewelry to digital design, mixed media
and makers. This is our first Art Walk

“Chick’s Amano,” this month’s Pop-Up
Show, began when owner Valarie Bit-
tner started creating design elements
for her own home. Inspired by items
that no longer have original function,
she creates new pieces that are unique
for one’s home or business.

Astoria Underground Tours at 5,
6:30 and 8 p.m. Tickets can be
purchased up to an hour before the
tour at oldastoria.com. Walk-ups are
welcome. Arrive 10 minutes before
the tour time. Plan to go beneath the
streets of Astoria in a 45-minute tour
with stories of history, intrigue and
almost a treasure hunt as you explore
and see where Astoria was built 100
years ago. Meet Guide Chad at The
Pit, across the street from Sears on
Marine Drive.

and diverse invitational exhibition
exploring fiber. Included are works
