3C THE DAILY ASTORIAN • FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2018 A COASTAL KITT’N CABOODLE Orange Boy strayed happily into John Gaasland’s home in Astoria. He is “well-remembered and missed.” Pip and his brother, Scooter, live with Keely and Andy Huber in Astoria. In The Daily Astorian’s very first National Cat Day photo contest, 137 photos of felines and their friends made the final cut. After 1,138 ballots, the Top 10 vote-getters are featured on the cover of this section, but that just barely scratches the surface. All our coastal kit- ties are just the best. If you want to see all the others, go to bit.ly/VoteKittyKitty And it seems our cute, capricious and calculating coastal felines have managed to dig their claws into being top cat in our lives, so save your photos for next year. We think this calls for extra catnip, kibble, cuddles and congratulations. Learn more about National Cat Day at www.nationalcatday.com Frankie is a tabby living with Danielle Kempf in Astoria.
