Hear musicians, see ‘Musicians’
at Seaside Public Library
SEASIDE — Documentary
filmmaker Ron Walker
presents his film “Musicians
of the North Coast” at the
Seaside Public Library, 1
p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25.
The event takes place in the
Community Room.
For his Ken Burns-style
documentary, Walker sought
out many local musicians
and recorded their stories.
Through interviews and
live performances, Walker
blends the musicians’ tales
and the creative process
involved in their music.
The film has the man-on-
the-street feel of Walker’s

added bonus of getting to
hear great local music! As a
special presentation, musi-
cians from the film will be
playing live at the event.
Walker learned the
craft of filmmaking when
he worked as the resident
music composer for the
Film Loft in Portland in the
1980s. During this period,
he composed the music for
the Mount St. Helens film
“This Place in Time,” which
is shown at the Mount St.
Helens Interpretive center.
Walker shoots, edits and
composes the music for the
films he produces. His films
are about people, their hob-
bies and passions and often
feature historical themes
centered on the North Coast.
