the Artisan Fair.
LONG BEACH PENINSULA —
The ninth annual Oysterville
Artisan Fair takes place 10
a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June
30, through Monday, July 2 —
three days filled with paintings,
pottery, jewelry, photography,
metal art, concrete and glass.
Rose Power’s spinning
wheel turns out exquisite
yarns. Janet Herring will
weave tiny cranberry vines
into small baskets. Judy Cox
will create iris folded cards
both beautiful and functional.
Harmony Soaps, made in
Oysterville, will share their
soap-making skills. They
create a rich variety of unique
soaps; you can buy a dog
wash, shaving soap, even
a bar of shampoo great for
camping.
The Peninsula Potters will
demonstrate clay work by
hand and on the wheel. They
are planning two horsehair
pottery firings during the
show. Pots will be available
for participants to purchase.
The show will have wonder-
ful ceramics with both Vicki
Sullivan and Karen Brownlee
filling their tents. Their func-

kitchen.
From Ocean Park, painter
Betty Lu Krause illustrates the
wild side of the Northwest.
From ocean to forest, she is
in touch with nature and cap-
tures its beauty and wonder.
From the Surfside area,
metal artist Don Perry hand
cuts every item that can adorn
your home inside or outside,
and artist Somsri Hoffman
paints pirate ships on boat
oars, breadboards and tiles.
Painter Sherry Bosch is
known for her sunflowers and
pears, but you will love her
fields of flowers and rustic

landscapes. The local glass
artists are stocked with beau-
tiful items.
Taylor Marye-Baker will
be face painting, and she al-
ways adds magic and balloon
animals to her shows.
Impressing Ideas in the
Surfside Mall, which encour-
ages locals to create art from
paper, is new to the Peninsula.
Come see quick demonstra-
tions and exceptional music.
You’ll find a new creative out-
let while you visit our shore.
There will be local photogra-
phy, mosaics, fairy furniture,
book making and fun!
Take the opportunity to
visit the schoolhouse that was
built in 1907 and stroll around
historic Oysterville, founded
in 1854.
A list of registered artists
and demonstrations will be
posted on the Peninsula Clay
Artists Facebook page.
