Twen- ty-two area youth competed. The rifle course consisted of shooting from standing, sit- ting/kneeling and prone posi- tions, and the shotgun portion was 100-round singles trap. The results are as follows: In rifle: Salvador Wie- necke, Junior Champion and Soren Brown, Reserve Cham- pion; Intermediate Division: Charlie Williams, Cham- pion and Isaac Biddlecome, Reserve Champion; Senior Division: Michael Williams, Champion and Andrew Hol- lenbeck, Reserve Champion. In shotgun: Salvador Wie- necke, Junior Champion and Lyndel Edwards, Reserve Champion; Intermediate Divi- sion: Charlie Williams, Cham- pion and Colton McMaster, Reserve Champion; Senior Division: Andrew Hollenbeck, Champion and Kory Constan- tine, Reserve Champion. Division Champion ribbons were awarded to Charlie Wil- liams and Andrew Hollenbeck. The team travels to Albany the week of June 18 to participate in the state 4H Shooting Sports Competition. Boy Scout Troop 211 serves pancake breakfast Saturday The Daily Astorian Boy Scout Troop 211 of Astoria is preparing for Scout Camp with a Pancake Break- fast on Father’s Day Weekend, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sat- urday at the Masonic Lodge, 1572 Franklin Ave. Pancakes, sausage, scram- bled eggs and beverages are included for $6 per person, $4 for ages 62 and older and $20 for families (children age 5 and younger eat free). Pro- ceeds support the scouts and their activities, including Boy Scout Camp. Tickets are avail- able at the door. Johnson, bachelor’s degree, nursing. SEASIDE — The 11th Annual Ducky Derby, sponsored by Clatsop Community Bank and KCRX 102.3 FM took place June 11 at Quatat Park in Seaside. The event raised over $2,000 for Seaside Kids Inc., a local nonprofit organi- zation that raises money to provide free athletic programs for children in Seaside, Gearhart and Cannon Beach. The group also provides scholarships that enable children to attend special tournaments. In addition to being the event’s title sponsor, Clatsop Community Bank awarded the grand prize of a $500 sav- ings account to Scott Herres, owner of this year’s winning duck. Other prizes were awarded to runners-up.
