Clatsop County OSU Extension contributors honored for work The Daily Astorian CORVALLIS — The Clat- sop Forest and Wood Products Economic Development Com- mittee was honored by Oregon State University as an organiza- tion that has contributed to the success of the OSU Extension program, and its impact in the community, at an awards cere- mony in Corvallis last month. Most notably known for their annual Community Lead- ers Forestry Tour, other proj- ects and committee activities include: participating in the annual Clatsop County Career & Job Fair; creating interpre- tive signage carved in slabs of redwood for the Camp 18 Log- ging Museum; facilitating con- versations about Oregon bal- lot measures; and contributing to an assessment to determine biomass potential in Clatsop County after the 2007 storm.
