5B THE DAILY ASTORIAN • THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2017 Gearhart Elementary Jordan Let me tell you how to make a turkey. First you buy it at Fred Meyer, Cosco, or Safe Way you choose. Next you take the turkey out of its package and wash the turkey with cold water so its clean. Then you will need a roasting pan, on the roasting pan you place onions, celery, and carrots. Now, you place the turkey on the roasting pan on top of the vegetables. Next marinade the turkey with salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper from inside and outside. Don’t forget to fold the turkey’s wing tips under the bird. Later cook rose mary and sage on butter inside the turkey. Then tie the legs together. Then bake at 325 F. for 3 hours. Remove the oven and let it cool down. After that slice the turkey. Finelly you can serve it on the plats and you can enjoy your delishes turkey meal! Michaela Hi I’m Michaela. I’m 8 years old and I go to Gearhart School. So, if my mom were to come up to me and say: well Michaela could you cook the turkey please? I would be like yes mom!
