3B THE DAILY ASTORIAN • FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2017 Morris - Schutte August 5, 2017 Megan Alexandra Morris, formerly of Astoria, and Matthew Blair Schutte of Lakewood, New York were united in marriage on August 5, 2017 at St. John’s Chapel, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Geneva, New York. Th e bride is the daughter of Ms. Cheryl Allsup-Morris of Astoria and the granddaughter of Mrs. Nancy Allsup and the late Harold Allsup of Warrenton, Oregon. Th e groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Schutte of Lakewood, New York and the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Th omas Schutte of Ipswich, Massachusetts. Th e two-day celebration was held in Geneva, New York where Megan and Matt met and graduated fr om Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Th e festivities began Friday evening with a “Welcome to Geneva” reception at a favorite Irish Pub of the bride and groom. Immediately following the ceremony on Saturday, guests attended the reception and dinner at Scandling Center located on the university campus. Guests traveled fr om as far away as the United Kingdom where the bride and groom studied abroad. Family members fr om Astoria traveling to Geneva included Suzanne Harris, aunt of the bride, Kaley Harris, bridesmaid and cousin of the bride and her daughter Mylah. Other family members attending included David Allsup, uncle of the bride fr om Portland, Oregon, brother of the bride Mark Allsup, his wife Leah Williams-Allsup, and their two sons Owen (the couple’s ring bearer) and Finlay Allsup fr om West Linn, Oregon. Matt’s brothers Trevor and Ryan were groomsmen and his sister Kara a bridesmaid. Matt and Megan honeymooned in the Dominican Republic. Th e couple resides in Syracuse, New York where Megan is a Dance/Movement Th erapist and Matt is an Attorney.
