In Seaside, the annu- al egg hunt and Aquatic Treasure Dive celebrate the holiday at Broadway Park, 1300 Broadway. The events get underway at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, with a visit with the Easter Bunny. At 10:30 a.m., the hunt begins with the youngest age group and continues with the next age category. Some rules of the road: Ages up to 2 years can have baskets and adult help Bas- kets & Adult help OK; ages 3 to 4 are allowed baskets; ages 5 to 10 years are not allowed to have baskets. Aquatic Treasure Dive begins at 1 p.m. at Sunset Pool, 1140 Broadway for those 7 to 9 years old. At 1:45 p.m., the 10- to 17-year olds take over. The cost is $2. Also on Saturday, Ocean Park, Washington, hosts a free Easter egg hunt, starting t 1 p.m. at Wilson Field, 25515 Sandridge Road. In Astoria, the Asto- ria Parks and Recreation Department invites folks to leave the egg-dyeing mess with them by brining hard- boiled eggs to the Port of Play, 785 Alameda Ave, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 14. They will provide the dye, paint, stickers and fun. On Saturday the Easter Bunny has colored his eggs for the hunt at Tapiola Park, 900 W. Marine Drive. Before the hunt activities include face painting, crafts, games and more. Activities start at 11 a.m with the hunt at noon. Then for those 10 and older, join the free Easter Egg Hunt After Dark at the Astoria Recreation Center, 1555 W. Marine Drive, at 8 p.m. Saturday. The hunt kicks off at 9 p.m. and participation is free. Using a black light, see how many eggs can be found hidden in the dark center. Youth can bring their own flashlights or buy a glow-in-the-dark package the day of the event. There will be car- nival-style games and activities, such as glow-in- the-dark face painting and glow-in-the-dark bowling before the hunt. Tickets for the prehunt festivities can be purchased at the door.
