Matt Love, a promi-

school teacher, was arrested
today on charges of luring a
minor and offi cial miscon-
duct after being indicted by a
grand jury.
The investigation came
after police received a
report that Love, 52, used an
“explicit verbal description
or narrative account of sexual
conduct” to induce a former
student to engage in sex.
Love, according to police,
was placed on administrative
leave by the Astoria School
District in May. Police said
the minor involved in the
case was not a former student
in Astoria and does not live in
the area.
Police asked that any cur-
rent or former students who
believe Love engaged in sim-

others contact Astoria Police
Detective Thomas Litwin.
