Eat Well... Laugh Often... Love Much.. In 2000, the dynamic duo of native Astorians Teona (T) Dawson and Paul (P) Flues II began their partnership by opening T. Paul’s Urban Café, winner of the Coast Weekend Readers Choice Awards for #1 Lunch Spot on the north coast for 14 years running. In 2009, they followed up by opening the ever popular T.Pauls Supper Club, embracing their motto “Eat Well, Laugh Often, and Love Much.” Supported by a loyal following, they have garnered local, regional and national recognition in recent years. Their goal has always been to treat guests as family, and it shows. Taking care of locals first, being consistent with excellent customer service (“no” isn’t an option), serving local and regional seafood and all natural meats has served them well. Both venues offer lunch and dinner and serve distinctly different and affordable menus, which are available on their websites. The glory goes to their terrific crew members, some of whom have been with them from day one. Donna Flues (Paul’s mother and T’s grandmother) or “Grandma” as she is known to the staff, has been baking up great desserts and chowder since 2000. Giving back to the community is the core of our business, whether supporting local schools, kids programs, human equality, wildlife recovery, and especially our annual Community Christmas Day Dinner. It is a fully functional metalworking and blacksmithing shop with arti- sans working daily. His preference is to concentrate on the quality of individual pieces rather than production. Each piece is unique and hand made and unlike many things today, they are meant to last a lifetime.
