Sawa came to Providence Seaside from Ocean Beach Hospital, in Ilwaco, Washing- WRQZKHUHKHZDVFKLHIH[HF utive since 2012. He formerly served as vice president for patient care services at PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center, before taking the helm of Ocean Beach Hospital under a management agreement between the public hospital district and PeaceHealth to manage daily operations. They come to the community and see how great it is. ” All of the new specialists will work full time at Provi- dence Seaside and will live in the area, Sawa said. “Some have even bought houses,” he added. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. • Laura Gordon, urology: Gordon earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. She interned in sur- gery and completed a resi- dency in urology at the Uni- versity of California, Los Angeles. She provides surgi- cal and nonsurgical care for conditions involving the uri- nary tract. • Dale J. Dee took In a chance on a blind date and met a ruggedly handsome m man named Herbert William (Bill) DeMander. They were m married on January 31, 1953 and spent 63 years together. D Dee and Bill moved to Astoria, OR in 1960 when Bill returned t to o the Coast Guard and was stationed on the WhiteBush. D e graduated from Kinman Business School in 1956 and Dee w o worked alongside Bill in their service station in Spokane. D e e went on to numerous jobs as a bookkeeper and then De Dee w wo o rk r k e 22 years for the State of Oregon Employment Division worked un nti t l he h e retirement. Dee helped people fi nd employment but until her also mentored and d s supported u p them to maintain and excel in their employment. owe er Dee loved to garden and had a very large vegetable and fl ower ati ng g garden. She was also known for her love of baking and eating ai n sweets!! Dee could eat her weight in fudge and still maintain an n her fi gure!! Dee enjoyed tole painting and her works can s.. be found in her children’s homes as cherished heirlooms. Dee and Bill had three Children, Diana(Tom) Coryell of f Z Seattle, Wa area, Debra (Ruben) Torres of Phoenix ,AZ n area, David (Amy) DeMander, Astoria, Oregon. Dee had an honorary daughter Lois Latvala Gilmore Astoria, Or area. . n, Dee was a loving grandmother to Briita, Tessa, Van, ee e Jacob, Rylee and Trevor and 4 great grandchildren. Dee ht er moved up to Seattle area in 2015 to be near her daughter way. Diana when illness set in, and Bill, was never far aw away.
