Knappa outlasts

way Beach, but the Loggers

the Pirates.

victory.

losing skid with a 17-1 vic-
tory at Neah-Kah-Nie Tues-
day, in a Northwest League
opener.
Sophomore pitcher Paris
Vanderburg allowed just two
hits with eight strikeouts and
two walks. Kaitlyn Truax led
the Logger offensive attack
by going 3-for-3 with two
doubles and six runs batted
in.
Freshman Hannah Hell-
burg had a triple, and Knappa
took advantage of numerous
walks in the victory.
The Loggers had been
outscored 91-20 in their last
six games, all nonleague.
