The Wayfarer Restaurant prepared the dinner, Shear Pleasure Salon and Spa did the bridesmaids’ hair and Cannon Beach photographer Julie Adams took the photos. “We were really impressed with the vendors we chose,” Erica said. Sunshine filled their wedding day, even though the beach was chilly and windy. Inside the Surfsand, Beatles music played during their Beatles-themed ceremony, chosen because John had grown up hearing the Beatles. Erica walked down the aisle to “Across the Universe.” They lit their candles to “In My Life,” and as the newly married couple walked up the aisle, the tune “Two of Us” played in the background. Following the ceremony, John and Erica headed to the beach, where Adams took photos of the bride, dressed in a lace gown reminiscent of the 1940s, and the groom kissing in front of Haystack Rock. The day went smoothly, said John, who offered some advice for those considering a beach wedding: “Don’t hesitate,” he said. “Don’t be scared of the weather. Don’t be afraid of the logistics.” For Erica, the location was perfect. “I can’t wait to go back,” she said. “I have so many memories.” Need your pet groomed before your wedding?
