Induction ceremonies take place Jan. 30 at the Astoria Elks Club. The inductees will also be introduced at halftime of Astoria’s boys bas- ketball game vs. Seaside, Jan. 29 at the Brick House. Inductees range from the Class of 1948 to ’88, with two teams (1982 girls track and 1986 boys golf). Logue was a 6-foot-4, two-year starter at center, and helped lead Astoria to a combined record of 57 wins, 22 losses. He scored 337 points his senior year, which accounted for more than 25 percent of the team’s season total. The Fishermen went un- defeated at home (19-0) his senior season and entered the state tournament on a 20-game win streak, ranked No. 2 in the state. The Fishermen ZRQWKHLU¿UVWJDPHRIWKHWRXUQDPHQWYV-HI ferson of Portland, followed by two losses. After high school, Logue was a four-year letterman at Willamette University. He was a conference All-Star team three years in a row, and was a Northwest Small College All-Star his senior year, helping Willamette win four straight league titles. He also set a Bearcat record for total points in a game (32), and was inducted into the Willamette Hall of Fame in 2000. Andre Baugh (1973) — A three-year track star, Baugh was voted by teammates as Most Improved, Most Inspirational and Most Valu- able. He broke the school record in the 100-yard dash twice, with a best of 9.9 seconds. He also broke the school’s 220-yard dash record, with a best of 22.4. Both records still stand. He also anchored the quarter-mile relay team to a then- school record of 44.5. At the 1973 Coast Valley Districts, Baugh received All-League honors for winning the 100- and 220-yard races. Baugh also played running back for Astoria football as a junior and senior. The 1972 team won the Coast Valley League Championship, and fought their way to the state playoff semi- ¿QDOV Baugh attended the University of Oregon, where he ran on the Duck track team from 1974-76. He had a successful career with Weyerhae- user and in 1999 started his own consulting business. In 2015, Baugh was awarded the City of Portland’s 30th Annual Spirit of Portland May- or’s Award. Nancy Lovvold (1974) — Lovvold follows in her father’s athletic footsteps — Howard Lovvold (Class of 1946) was inducted into the AHS Hall of Fame in 2001. Nancy participated in volleyball, basketball and softball at AHS. She was a three-year var- sity player in volleyball and basketball, earning team MVP honors in volleyball. In 1972-73, she led the basketball team in scoring (13.5 points per game), and had 31 steals in 13 games, helping Astoria to a 12-1 record. 15.
