Mixed results for Osprey The Daily Astorian The LCYSA Osprey had a disap- pointing weekend of soccer, as the U14 team dropped a Saturday match and played to a 2-2 draw Sunday. Weather conditions had a very North Coast feel, as the rain and wind were factors Saturday in a loss to the Tualatin Hills United SC. The Osprey scored their lone goal in the ¿fth minute, a 2-yard loE Must under the crossEar Ey co-captain -oe 'alida. The Osprey managed three additional shots on goal. Tualatin Hills evened the score in the 12th minute on a Ereakaway, then scored the winning goal off a corner kick that appeared to catch the south wind and was Elown into the goal under the Ear. Stand out performers for the Osprey included %rooks )romwiller, ColEy Thygesen and Shrey Sharma. The Osprey traveled to St. Helens Sunday to play )C ColumEia County, after splitting their ¿rst two meetings. After a very sluggish ¿rst ¿ve minutes, the Osprey settled in and got to Eusiness, as Michael Postlewait scored the Osprey’s ¿rst goal in the 1th minute at the far post off a corner kick from 'alton %yrd. Byrd then scored in the 23rd minute off a free kick set up from a foul drawn Ey -eremy Owen. The second half was dominated Ey FCCC. The Osprey gave up a goal three minutes into the half, and FCCC tied the game in the th minute. Osprey goalkeeper Spark Owen had nine saves in the second half, compared to FCCC managing Must three shots on goal in the ¿rst half. Stand out perfor- mances included co-captain Riley Cam- eron, Byrd, and Garrett Berliner. The Osprey travel to Forest Grove this weekend to face ¿rst place FC West Vipers, who lead the league in goals scored at 4. The Osprey return home for a Sponsor Appreciation Match at 3:30 p.m. Sunday against Portland City United.
