Astoria AN D TO W IN G Many children are injured each year while getting on or off school buses. This is because the bus driver cannot see the area that is 10 feet in front of the bus. This is called the blind spot. Look at the overhead view of the school bus. Color in the blind spot. You can avoid being in the blind spot by always taking at least 10 giant steps away from your bus before crossing in front of it. And, always wait for the bus driver or another adult to tell you when it is safe to cross the street. Look through today’s newspaper for a number written as a numeral.
