The Department of (ner Jy faces criticism by current and former laZmaNers for alloZinJ enerJy ta[ credits to be sold at deeper discounts than alloZed under state price reJulations. /aZmaNers plan to taNe up the subject durinJ hearinJs in 6alem this ZeeN . Inconsistent interpretation The state offers the ta[ cred its to Jovernment and private orJani]ations to help offset the cost of ef¿ ciency and reneZable enerJy projects. 5ecipients can use the credits to reduce their ta[es, or sell them to raise cap ital. /aZmaNers passed a laZ in that reTuired the Depart ment of (nerJy to adopt a for mula to determine sales prices for ta[ credits.
