The Warriors walked 12 batters, hit two and commit- ted four errors in the ¿eld to hurt their cause, while Astoria racked up 14 hits, ¿ve for e[- tra bases. Astoria senior-to-be Carter Wallace pitched four innings, allowing just three hits with si[ strikeouts and two walks. Wallace did even more damage at the plate, where he had a single, two doubles, a grand slam home run and si[ RBIs. His bases-loaded homer in the third inning gave Astoria Ford a 13-0 lead through three innings. Fridtjof Fremstad and Cade O’Brien both had two hits, including run-scoring doubles, and combined to drive in seven runs. Astoria Ford’s biggest in- ning was the fourth, when the Fishermen scored nine runs before the ¿rst out was re- corded. O’Brien and Kyle Strange both had two-run doubles in the inning, while Wallace had a pair of doubles. The Daily Astorian WARRENTON — Asto- ria’s Jeff Leinassar won the 2015 Astoria Golf & Coun- try Club Championship, held June 27-28. It was Leinassar’s 12th club championship victory, and the 40th anniversary of his ¿rst title in 175. Leinassar said he was most proud of winning the club championship in each of the past ¿ve decades. He ¿nished with a 147 score in the Open Division, ahead of Jeff Canessa (151) and Scott Burke (152). 0ike 0altman was ¿rst in total net (147), with Kirk Jen- sen and Bret Stevens tied for second at 148.
