Loggers get defensive in win; Fishermen down Cardinals

scoring baseball team in the
state also has a great pitching
staff, and — from the looks of
it — one of the best defensive
teams as well.
What’s it all mean? The
Knappa Loggers are going to
be next to impossible to beat
this season.
The Clatskanie Tigers
have pretty much given up
on the idea, at least for this
school year.
After losing to the Loggers
in football and basketball, the
Tigers added baseball to the
list of “stuff that Knappa is
better than us at,” as the Log-
gers defeated Clatskanie 6-2
in a season-opening baseball
game Wednesday at Teevin

“Our seniors have lost a lot
of games to those kids over
the years, so the kids certain-
ly felt good about that one,”

outreach, office grant management

Clatsop County.
CCAʼs SSVF Program: This is a
federal Veterans Administration
(VA) grant to target and assist
single adult veterans and veteran
families who are literally homeless
or at imminent risk of becoming
homeless. The SSVF program
coordinates with County, State and
Federal veteran-serving agencies
and other service providers to
provide case management,
homelessness prevention and rapid
re-housing to help transition
veterans and their families to stable
and permanent housing.
