This SEASIDE —Friends of the Sea- side Library present “The His- tory of Camp Rilea” with local author Andrea Larson Perez at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5. Perez will tell the fascinating story of the important role Camp Rilea has played to all who have passed through its gates. Afterward, there will be book sales and sign- ings. The event is free and will take place in the Community Room. Originally named Camp Clatsop County schoolchildren in need. Last year’s fundraiser helped clothe 594 children. So join the fun, make a dona- tion and come to the sale to see what you can score — everyone wins, especially the kids. There is no admission fee, and cash or checks are accepted.
