The picnic given by the German Vereln of Portland, at the 8chnorr park at Willamette Sunday was a big success, there being more then 500 persons In attendance. About forty were from the Oregon City or ganixation attended. The day wa spent in dancing, games and singing. One of the features of the program wss the singing of tbe German Vereln club of Portland. Their selections were well received, and the singers respond ed to many encores. Many remafned nntll evening, and the park was bril liantly Illuminated with Chinese lan terns, and dancing was continued un til a late hour.
