Alter a short Illness James, Jr., Gib
son died May, 13, 1920 at the home ot
his son, Halley F. Gibson, of Barton.
James Jr. Gibson was born near Cin
cinnati!, Ohio, April 8, 1826. In 1860
he married Mrs. Emily Gibson and
tnre were born ot this union seven
children, six of whom are living. Hen
an S. Gibson and Richard B. Gibson,
of Eagle Creek; Harvey and Halley
F. Gibson of Barton; Mrs. Nora Reld,
of Estacada; and Mrs. Cora M. Udell,
of Dover. In 1867 Mr. Gibson crossed
the plains, coming to Oregon and set
tling first at La Grande, then In 1868
moving to Eagle Creek, where he has
since resided, with the exception of

ion. The funeral services were held
