The board of water commissioners Saturday awarded tbe. contract to Lttherland & Abrey, who submitted tbe lowest bid of seven contractors. They will build the reservoir for $29, 5S7.50. The purchase of the land and the meeting of Incidental expenses, however, will bring the total cost of the reservoir slightly above this figure. Equipment for the construction of the reservoir Is now arriving on the ground. Ten thousand cubic "yards of earth will be moved In constructing the reservoir nnd among the Items are 1.800 yards of concrete and 30 tons of cast Iron pipe.
