Four giris in insn cos tumes acted as waiters. Proceeding the program and Mrs. Weathened's talk was the regular business meeting. PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION MEETS THURSDAY AFTERNOON Molalla. Ore., Mar. 18. (Special) A parent-teachers meeting will be held In the high school room tomorrow af ternoon at 2:30. J. E. Calavau, the county superintendent, will be present and the fathers and mothers of this vicinity are urged to come out and take part in the meeting. MANY ATTEND SUNDAY BIRTHDAY PARTY AT MOLALLA Molalla, Ore, March 16. (Special) Mr. and Mrs. Ira C. Steininger en tertained In honor of Mrs. Stenlnger's birthday yesterday. The house was datntly decorated with daffodils and China lilies in honor of the occasion. A dinner was served by the hostess assisted by the Misses Maude Steining er and Alice Carpenter. Mrs. Steinlnger was the delightful recipient of many beautiful and prac tical gifts. The guests included: Mr. and Mrs. Ira C. Steininger. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. . Steininger. Mr and Mrs. G. W. (Special) The people of this vicinity organized a parent-teacher association here Sat urday at the home of F. G. Haverman. At a meeting at Tobin's hall in the evening Prof. Stetson, of V. of 0. spoke along these lines as did Mrs. Seltz, president of the State Parent-Tteach- ers' association. A large crowd was present and all greatly enjoyed the evening. BOYS ENTERTAIN Molalla, Ore., March 16. (Special) The boys of the high school and grammar school gave a party In the grange hall Friday night. About fifty guests were present, all of whom greatly enjoyed the evening. Ice cream and cake were served at a late hour, after which the guests de parted. FIRST FACTORY IN MOLALLA OPENED BY BIG DANCE Molalla. The Molalla band furnished special music for the occasion. The fact that this is the first factory in Molalla has caused it to be a matter of general in terest to the people of this vicinity all of whom join in wishing Jackson and Rruck the greatest success in their new enterprise. Each promises to get "Juice" into the city a few days after the franchise is granted. The Molalla river Ir near the city and affords an unlimited amount of cheap power. Lee's rates are low and he offers to light the streets free for five years and to give everyone wlo will wire his house or business biulding free lights until January 1, 1315. FUNERAL OF MRS. E. DAMOURS HELD AT MOLALLA THURSDAY Molalla, Ore., Mar. 13. (Special) The funeral of Mrs. E. Damours, who died at her home near this city Wed nesday, was held here yesterday af ternoon and interment was made In Adams' cemetery. People were pres ent from all parts of the Molalla coun try. She leaves seven children and a husband. MAY BUILD HOTEL Molalla. Ore., Mar. 12. (Special) Mr. Rheok, of Canby, will open a room ing house in the old McCloud house on the Liberal townslte in the near fu ture. If this Is a paying business he will put up a modern hotel.
