The weather seem. to be rather damp
at present, as It swms to have bleached
the color of the moon considerably.
E. Howard and sons were busy im
proving the road last week.
The card party which was given at the
home of Edwin Howard was reported a
grand success. There were at least
twenty-five Invited guests present. The
first part of the evening being spe-nt In
card playing In which R. Howard and
A. Thomas proving themselves cham
pions by winning 6 hand running games.
At twelve o'clock sharp a delicious oyster
supper was (fired, such a one as had nut
been enjoyed before for many u day. A
program of basts and comical riddles
was enjoyed during the eating hour. The
latter part of the evening was H-nt in
singing and dancing ami a great crack
ing of jokes, and all returned to their
homes well satisfied with the night's
srwit.

visited the Eldorado school last week.
